Post Need flying money fast!

I have completed my PPL, but need a major cash injection to finish CPL and MECIR. I would go anywhere and do anything if it gets me the capital required. I am thinking mines, does anyone have any ideas? I am on the Gold Coast right now but would go to Antarctica if it got me back in the air!

I can be emailed on [email protected]

The SA government just gave KD nearly $4mil to get them flying, maybe you could hit them for a small loan to get you flying

If you have a degree (any degree) you could consider teaching english in South Korea. Free accomodation/food/airfares&you can save $3000-$4000/month. That's what I'm doing next year to get the $$$'s for flying.

Cheers

Thanks Throtle.

Outbound thanks for the advise, I have done my cpl theory and started my atpl's.

Dan That would be fantastic but I went backpacking in Europe half way through my degree and never returned to finish.

Buckred,
I spent six months in the mines in W.A. to save up for my instrument rating, the hardest yet most fulfilling time of my life. If your serious about mining give Herbert mining a call, I wouldn't make it your first choice, but go to Kalgoorlie and try the big companies first more $$$ but you require more experience, licenses ect. Where there's a will there's a way. Good Luck!!

Mines in the west mate.

All found and around $60,000 a year on a truck.

Apart form saving some dough you'll have the time of your life.

Bucky - if you want my advice, go back and finish that degree before it is too hard . . . as well as satisfying your appetite for flying.

Pedota's right.
I missed that bit, go finish your degree, NOW, do not pass another airport, do not waver or flinch from it.
Then go do your flying stuff.
A degree is forever, your license is only as good as your next medical.

Haha thanks for the advise Pedota and Gaunty, I was waiting for someone to come in with that!

The way things are now, if I have I have any chance of getting into the big winged tubes I have to finish my licence and get GA time ASAP! If something goes drastically wrong and I become medically unfit, I will still be allowed back at uni. They even take blind people there... No offence meant to any blind people reading this!

What I am trying to say is I will always be able to study, but I may not always be able to fly. The one thing scares me most is the thaught of being on my death bed and thinking "I could have been a pilot!"

That's how I feel, lets not pursue it any further!

Does anyone know anything about the drilling rigs in the NT or elsewhere?
