Hotmail or FBK login recovery?

I'm looking around for some trustworthy help on recovering access to an old account. My girlfriend has an old Facebook account which she would dearly like to get back into as it has some treasured photos on it. Unfortunately she has lost the password. She has also lost the password for the hotmail account that was linked to it and where the recovery code would go to and no longer has the mobile number if there was one associated with that. It seems almost impossible to get any help from either FBK or MS to recover the situation. Wondering if anyone can advise or help.

Similar problem but for a hotmail account.Microsoft's "recovery" process is chocolate teapot territory and just goes round and round in circles.
ANY help appreciated !
TIA

Does she need a login to the account to get the photos?

If she just uses a current account, searchs for the old account the pictures are all there for all to see and can be downloaded or screen grabbed

Or is she still in touch with anyone who was 'friended' to that account and who might have access to the photos?

DB and netstruggler - thank you, but It's not photo recovery we're after , it's the email account itself.
Have made several attempts using the automated process and failed. Managed to find a telephone contact number for Microsoft (08000418773) and struggled through an almost unintelligible conversation and was directed to an on-line keybooard 'conversation' with a real human being ! ! ! Eventually went through a complex series of Q&As and agreed to a paid-for process (when successful) which should be resolved, one way or the other, tomorrow ... fingers firmly crossed :(

The digital intermingling was wasted ! ... No phone call and, when I eventually made contact, the reply was that recovery was impossible.

Do you want access to a working Hotmail account or access the the historic emails?

If the latter then you could try exercising the right to data portability.

I think that’s referring to personal data about yourself, as covered by GDPR legislation rather than personal emails etc.

Abrahn and netty - thank you .
Reading through the website info, I think that netty has it right and that it won't cover other than personal details.
