Have you tried 'HT'?

GG,

You know what. In all honesty, if it's just affecting your profile, then you might find it quicker to simply migrate your profile data rather than messing around ?

GG,

Try Microsoft Sysinternals Autoruns.

Autoruns for Windows

That might help.

Well done for finding that program mixture, ran it unticked the 3 entries for reg cure and the problem's solved. Thanks :ok:

green granite,

No problem, glad to have (eventually) been of assistance !

The Sysinternals set of programs are actually quite nifty and do all sorts of neat stuff, even if some are easier to grasp than others.

Must also compliment Microsoft (some might say a rare thing !) on keeping the Sysinternals toolset free for all ..... (Sysinternals used to be a seperate company until gobbled up by Microsoft at some point in recent history).

Indeed, I use their process explorer a lot, never thought to look to see if they had something that might have helped.

Install Mike Lin's venerable, tried and trusted "Startup Control Panel" from Mike Lin's Home Page

Give you control of all Windows ASEPs (AutoStart Entry Points) except Services which you'll have to sort out for yourself.
