IE 5.5 - Opening a new window
This is SO annoying - when browsing with IE5.5 and I want to open an additional window. I use "ctrl + N" and a new window appears.
BUT, the window is not covering the whole screen, it varies in size from time to time, but I ALWAYS have to click the "maximize" icon in the upper right corner. Now I cant remember, but I think this started when I upgraded to 5.5. (Im using win98 SE) Should I go back to an earlier version or is there an easy way of fixing this? /skunks |
Try resizing the window when you open it, drag it to the larger size rather than maximize it. Close it and then reopen again.

Skunkworks............
I had the same problem combined with the fact that IE was becoming slower and getting "hung" on a regular basis. Someone suggested I try "Netscape" which I have recently installed and found very good and a big improvement on IE. Installation was easy, direct from their web site. Regards FBW |
