Scanning a page of French language text into English language text
Reading a French accident report (wait for it) which is published in French language. I wanted to read it in English. I copied the first page and used a website translator and pasted the page on the translator. It was supposed to enable the French text to automatically turn it into English. The limit is 2000 words at a time. But the word `Paste` always grey's out and now I am at a dead end. I could use a dictionary but that will take me ages. Request ideas?

Probably first worth making doubly sure the BEA have not released an English version that you've missed ?
Otherwise maybe try something different like Google Translate. Whichever way, if you're reviewing this document for work purposes than I suggest you hire a professional translator (who will hold insurance cover that you need, and that John Doe off a forum won't) , as electronic translators are woefully inadequate, even in this day and age. |
Probably first worth making doubly sure the BEA have not released an English version that you've missed ? Although he failed to get his hands on the Lancaster at least it forced the hands of a French aviation museum at le Bourget and they had it shipped to France. 30 years later it is now partially restored to static condition at Les Ailes Ancienne museum at Saint-Mande in France. I have around 10 pages of correspondence in French on the project. Hence the head-scratching on the translation. Thanks again,. |
