Two questions
Hi.
Two issues concerning my Granddad. I am finding out for him:
1). How do you set the printer to print an internet page without the last quater going off the page? Do you know what I mean? He has W98.
2). When in a program, and you want to OPEN and/or SAVE a file, how do you set the FILE - OPEN/SAVE setting to always open a particular folder? For example, he uses a recording program from Technics (he plays keyboard) and software came with the top of the range keyboard that allows you to connect the keyboard to the computer, and press record on the software program, and it records from the keyboard. Well, when this is done, and he presses SAVE, it opens a default folder which is NOTHING to what he wants. Is there a way to make it always open the directory he wants?
Smooth skies,
Dan

Questions
To print a web page easily, I tend to copy the text to notepad and then print it. If you want images too, then you need to copy the page to something like Word. It takes longer to paste from memory this way, but it usually works.
What program is you Grandad running. You normally get a preference option somewhere that allows you to select a file location for saving to.

good questions
I cant remember the name of the program, but I shall ask him and re-post. I am popping round there after I have sent this, so I will find out asap.
With regard to the internet printing, I am suprised one has to go to such extremes just to print a webpage with images. I know some pages are larger in diameter, than verticle height, but most are higher than wider. I thought there was a setting you could apply to make this happen. However, thanks for the suggestions, I shall tell him those. Please await my answer to YOUR questions
