CD burner creating mute CD-Rs ...
Here's the following scenario:
Win 98, HP 9900 and Easy CD Creator 5 with the updated version.
If I create a music CD or simply copy an audio CD, the CD player or computer shows the current track and track time of the created CD-R but there's NO sound.
Any suggestions?

the CD will be recognized as an audio CD - both in the computer or CD player - but there's no sound. I tried the CD in different CD players and computer CD drives ... same thing.

Squawk7777,
I am wondering if the problem is with your CD-Burner. Let me know if this is part of the problem you are having:
HP CD-Writer and CD-Writer Plus Drives - Audio Quality is Poor on a Written CD Using Easy CD Creator
Take Care,
