Eudora
I set up Eudora with a dialup connection and it works OK, but when using the always-on cable connection, it only receives messages, will not send. The address for outgoing messages is associated with the dialup ISP, and that is probably what is stopping any outgoing messages, but I cannot find any place to change the way Eudora sends messages, to allow it to use the cable. Can anyone point me to a place to fix this?

I have the same issue with NTL and my ISP account. I get around it by using the ISP server (Waitrose) as the incoming server name and the outgoing as the cable modem mail server name (NTL) and setting the reply to to the name of my ISP account (waitrose). I have used this with Opera, Outlook and Outlook Express. Eudora must have an outgoing server name somewhere - I have used it in the past but that was ages ago.
