Curioser and curioser cookies!
Just noticed a new trend with cookies. They used to be 'Text Documents.' Suddenly over the past 10-15 days they have gone to being 'GIFS', JPEGS' HTML etc., etc. And the amount of pop-ups has risen dramatically - so there may be a clue.
I have "collected" around 3000! According to 'SkyBot.'
Anyone any idea what is going on?

Problem solved! Just in case it is of interest there TWO Temporary Internet Files under WINDOWS(system) one under TEMP and one under LOCAL SETTINGS.
The one under TEMP is controlled by the browser: TOOLS/OPTIONS/ADVANCED - the check box for Temporary Internet settings was not highlighted and it should be if you do not want to collect the GIFS etc.,
It was truly a massive collection. All cleared now - as the browsers closes.
