Battlefield 1942
I don't usually plug things here but as I notice we have a few simmers in the forum I thought I would pass on what I feel is a very good game, namely Battlefield 1942.
The Artifical Intelligence is superb.

Might have to arrange a PPRuNe fly in!

Had a sudden urge for a gaming fix the other day - haven't bought anything for 6-months+
Agree that the AI is very good - though I get the feeling that they have re-used some of the scenery from battle map to battle map - this is also evident in the add-on "the Road to Rome".
Doesn't seem to be support for a joystick - as far as I can tell, which might make it easier than using the keyboard/mouse combination - but I haven't tried plugging in my j/stick yet, so I could be talking a load of b....s.
I love the big fixed artillery machine guns though - good stress relief!
Must go back to Monte Cassino...bye
