software download from Internet
HI!
Been having a problem for a while...
When trying to download from Internet (from Cnet or ZDnet for example), as soon as I click on download, a new blank page opens with a QuickTime logo in the middle. When the progress bar is complete, the QT logo becomes "broken"... and the program is never downloaded...
I've tried removing QT from my computer, but then I got a Java logo instead.
Any worthy ideas???

I've never seen this particular symptom, but you could try disabling ActiveX components before attempting the download. Tools, Internet Options, Security, Custom, Settings. It's a bit of a pain though as there are half-a-dozen things to be disabled (and presumably re-enabled afterwards if you want them back).
