Opera Set Up

Hi all,

I'm continuously reading how good the Opera browser is, so decided to give it a go for the first time in ages.
The trouble is after downloading the 11mb exe file (on a slow 56K connection)and installing, it doesn't appear to want to connect to the internet.
After sucsesfully opening Opera I get the windows error message 'Could Not Connect To Remote Server'.
I'm determined to get the begger working now, but don't really know where to start, I have tried setting it as the default browser, that didn't work. Where next?
I'm using winxp pro, ie 6.0 (no updates).

Help....Please!!!!

That sounds like your internet connection isn't up. Do other internet apps work at the same time (e.g. LookOut or even Exploder) ?

Sorry, I should have mentioned, there is definately a connection.
