Cool How do I make a link to an earlier post?

Sometimes threads repeat themselves and rather than re-write a post I see that folks make links from the new post to an old one somewhere else on PPRuNe. How is this done please? Also how can one link an entire thread that has gone before?

brockie :

Get the thread up in another window, and copy the URL from the location bar.

Then, in your new / reply post, click the "http" button. Enter some explanatory text, hit Enter, then paste the URL in.

Easy. Like this - circular enough for you ?

Right click on the pane you want to link to. You should get a menu including "properties'. Select it and you'll get a properties "general" page including the address (URL). Then just cut and paste. e.g.

try this then....

I've been playing around and the only way I get get my browsers (IE5 and Opera) to not display the full URL in the address bar is by using "pprune.com". However by using "pprune.org" to access the home page, the full addresses appear, every time, no matter what I try.

In other words, use .org instead of .com

And I've no idea why.
