Thumbs down Virus

Caution all,
Rampant virus around "Bugbear32"
Have had five versions of it already tonight, even one from PPRUNE.
Anti virus software caught them all.

I got it yesterday as an attachment to a very realistic looking Email from Microsoft (Australia) and with a very plausible subject line. Fortunately Norton wasn't fooled.

Just recieved mine attached to a very plausible header purporting to be a BALPA newsletter ! I recognise the name of the individual it came from, he is aircrew in my company. However I'm not a member !
Good old Norton.

Like other previous viruses, it uses emails received by the infected machine, makes it look plausable. I've had attachments in the past that actually look like company memos and from senior trainers home pc's. !
