Win 10 taskbar annoyance;

[Thrust Augmentation]

Open programe buttons are shifting around on the Win10 taskbar, presumably in relation to programe window focus or usage, it's driving me mad & not something that I've seen on any previous version of Windows.

I've looked everywhere in the "series of pipes" & while it's bursting with taskbar queries about Quick launch, Pins & what not, I can't find anything about this - Don't suppose that anyone knows where this behaviour can be adjusted / prevented?

A possible solution: right click on the taskbar, then, at the bottom of the menu which appears, select "Lock Taskbar". I hope this solves your problem, Thrust Augmentation!

Thanks, but already done.

(it's the open program buttons that are behaving like this, not shortcut icons or pinned programs)
