Problems with BBC

For some reason I suddenly cannot access either the BBC news app, or BBC iplayer on my tablet. I've cleared the cache, and reinstalled both apps but to no avail.
Any one out there got any ideas about why this is happening?

Check under "my Apps" in Play Store to see if iPlayer has installed an update recently that you're not aware of.

I've had similar problems recently with WhatsApp - reinstalling the latest version didn't help, but installing an earlier version fixed the issue. What version of Android is your tablet running?
