The last time my modem/router misbehaved, I just followed helpdesk 101.
Turn it off, unplug it from the electricity completely, leave it for 10 or more minutes, and then plug it in again and turn it on.
Might need 2 attempts.

Have you tried the suggestions on the TP-Link FAQ page here: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/722/ ? I would start with that and see if you can get a clearer idea of where the problem is.
Another option is to use a WiFi sniffer app to find out if other routers nearby are hogging the same channels.

Sounds like your WiFi is still connected, but the internet part is dropping after a few minutes.
With your TP-Link router, that usually means the WAN connection is unstable — not the WiFi itself. That’s why your phone still shows connected, but only upload works and the internet feels broken.

It can be caused by a few things:
restart the router, check for a firmware update, and see if it also happens on another device.
- unstable ISP line
- router firmware glitch
- PPPoE / WANsession dropping
- router overheating or bugging out after a while
restart the router, check for a firmware update, and see if it also happens on another device.

Robert311 dug up a topic that is five years old. I sincerely hope that the router has been fixed by now! Actually, there also appears to be a spam link in his post, so I'm having doubts about the intentions here.... perhaps Saab Dastard, Senior Pilot or another friendly mod may want to have a look at this.
