Watch out for CommonName!
I downloaded an explorer plug-in some time ago.
It`s called CommonName.
It`s a login-manager form-filler, etc. etc. with an extra toolbar and aid for many other things.
What happened after a while was that my internet connection got very slow and would disconnect from time to time.If I clicked the mouse , it could last 30 sec. or more before a window opened.
I use explorer 5.5,Win98 with ADSL.
I could not understand what was happening and tried everything to improve the situation. When I ran Ad aware I found a lot of files belonging to this "fantastic " aid.
I deleted the whole thing and every thing is normal again.(It seems so anyway).
The reason for this post is to warn people not to be naive when someone offers something for free. There are lots of companies out there that produce spyware that can spoil your internet joy.
I`m an amateur on this field , and it would be nice if someone could comment on this add-on problem.

I do INET support and there are other pieces of software that do similar things. New dot net Application and $clickthebutton, and lots of this gets installed with free programs like Morpheus/Kazaa/iMESH (iMESH is the worst).
Always read those user agreements, it usually tells you what else will be installed. Hint: If it "enhances you're internet experiance" you don't need it.
Happy computing!!
