Waking Computer up

Morning Everyone

Can I ask for help from you experts.

My computer is set to go to sleep after 4 hours at idle. Since about the time a couple of weeks ago that there was a W10 update, whenever I wake the computer up I am presented with a web-page with the dreaded microsoft 'Bing' as the search engine etc. I do not want this page to greet me when I wake my machine up. Could you experts tell me how to stop this happening, in simple terms, please.

Thanks as always

Thanks Jhieminga

The link mentions removing 'Bing' from the apps, but it does not appear there. I think it is something to do with MS Edge which came with the W10 update recently, but not sure. There was a comment I saw not to remove Edge, but not being an expert in this field cannot be sure. Any more ideas, please?

Thanks

Have you hard rebooted the computer since the update? Edge firing up has been an issue with that 2004 upgrade I believe - two of our laptops opened about 100 Edge windows after the update, another reboot put paid to that though.
May also be worth downloading CCleaner from piriform.com as that has in the Tools menu full view of the tasks run at startup and you could remove Edge if its there.

Thank you all for your advice. Am away for a few days, but hope to sort this out early next week.

Cheers!
