GMX Mail server

Does anyone here use this email server, a free server based in Germany. I have used now for several years and it seems they regularly have stability issues. It recently refused my password, and on one occasion altered my password. These have all been overcome, but the latest issue bothers me. I decided to change my password for both my apple products, namely laptop and phone. The gmx server is .com However now they accept my password on my laptop but not on my phone. I should add here that the passwords are the same. On my phone gmx insist I use a .net but there is no such server as .net. Writing emails to gmx I am advised they are working on it. Any help out there please.

gmx is not the only email server I use.

No problems here over the past few years. It's been consistently reliable. I use gmx and gmail on desktop and laptops.

After tooing and froing to GMX they have finally agreed there is a bug in the gmx download from the Apple app store as a result of me sending them a snapshot of the login process.

Useful to know. I'll continue to avoid that fruit-based company and its apps.

I don’t think it’s got anything to do with new iphones. An app is an app and its the same on all iphone variants. Mine happens to be an old iphone 7.
