Insane computer

Hi, all.


My computer every so often goes completely mad. the mouse will freeze, and grey boxes flash up all over the screen. the only way out of it is rebooting, which is so frustrating.

any ideas?

You can have similar symptoms if your mouse is f'ked. Pointer won't move, and you'll get the grey box that appears if you right click on the desktop flashing on and off.
