Problem with SCLWAP1.DLL - it says here.

Wifes 'puter has suffered cardiac arrest - will not boot up.

Press the power switch - lots of life, screen shows usual configuration page - then Windows ME logo - the looooonnnngggg wait until wallpaper appears. Hour glass churning (actually - it's a mouse eating a block of cheese - but it represents the hour glass).

Then, eventually, up pops a box saying..

Scandisk has encountered an error with SHLWAP1.DLL and will now close.

Back to wallpaper and cheese - then "Spool32 has encountered an error with SHLWAP1.DLL and will now close".........long wait and the Spool 32 report comes back again.

When hour glass stops (mouse stops eating cheese) - all we get is wallpaper...no icons or nuffink.

Press Ctrl/Alt/Del gives us an EMPTY box.

Oooh, errrr, missus.

But - assuming I could get the file from the original CDRom (which I have) - how would I load it onto a computer that will not start??
