ISP Blocking a Website
Can anyone help me get around a problem that has just occurred? My ISP - EE - appears to be blocking the Lufthansa website. When I go to it I get a message saying:
"You don't have permission to access "http://www.lufthansa.com/uk/en/Homepage?" on this server. Reference #18.3c6cd417.1560978744.35da674a".
Everything was fine this morning, but when I went back this afternoon I got the above message. I have tried 2 laptops and my mobile all with the same outcome. I have tried both Gmail and Microsoft edge. I have a 3 mobile dongle - if I disconnect EE wifi and use that, the website works fine and also works fine on my mobile phone when I am out and about.
The only slightly odd thing is that I had been looking at flights this morning and whilst I was away looking elsewhere, the Lufthansa website logged me off due to inactivity.

It's unlikely that it is anything to do with your ISP, that message will be coming from the Lufthansa server (it's what is known as a 403: Forbidden response from the server). The most likely cause is that the Lufthansa server has blacklisted your IP address for some reason. The simplest solution is to try to get a different IP address by rebooting your router. Switch the power off to your router, leave it a few minutes (the longer you wait the more likely it is you will get a different IP address) then switch it back on and wait for it to boot up again.
The web address you quoted actually re-directs to https://www.lufthansa.com/gb/en/homepage Very few commercial websites now use http, most are https and will re-direct http requests to https.

I don't think it was an http/https problem as I tried various ways of accessing the website - including via a link in an email I had from them. I suppose it is possible they blocked me because I allowed myself to be logged off due to inactivity. Anyway, this morning it is back to normal.
Thank you for the replies - I shall remember the advice in case it happens again.

I've found a lot of problems with the LH websites - 'forbidden' warnings, switches between English and German, failure to load at all.... Worse using IE11 than with Firefox. But it seems OK today, although it's still rather a mess at times.
