DVD Drive Region Coding

A Google search tells me that to play a Region 2 DVD I need to change my 'DVD Drive's Region Coding'

On Windows 10 can somebody please point me in the right direction, what to search for in my laptop etc.

Thanks

Try playing the disc with VLC.

See https://www.videolan.org/support/faq.html#DVDS
for limitations with more recent drives.

Oops, turns out recent is perhaps after about 2006:-(

I would try VLC in any case.

You can buy a region free USB drive for £10.

NOT recommending this one just the first I noticed by way of example.

Thanks guys,

After I posted I checked to recognise that my laptop and the DVD's are both region 2 and the last DVD I bought was also region 2 and played perfectly, then I remembered that some 3 years ago I bought a cheap Chinese external DVD drive off eBay so plugged that in last evening and these DVD's are playing perfectly, I'm now happily settling in to watching the first four series of Doc Martin
