Windows XP

I freely admit to total brain failure when it comes to XP. Somehow I have lost the line below the toolbar that gives the present and recent URLs. How can I get it back? Thank you.

Drop down the "View" menu move cursor over Toolbars and there should be a tick against "Address Bar" if there isn't then left click just to the left of Address Bar and a tick will appear and your address bar should appear.

Running XP pro with IE and OE6, when I try to connect via my ISP dial up connection , I frequently have to re-type my password.
Apparently this is quite a common problem, any ideas how to overcome this? TIA
