AVAST VPN or any VPN in fact..
Hi,
Just had a scan by AVAST and one issue it came up with was lack of encryption.
Their idea is to sign up to AVAST VPN to plug the security holes in our system.
BTW I have used VPN when overseas but the encryption bit is intriguing
BUT I thought I'd put it out here for some opinions...
Thx

Do you think you need encryption?
I've recently removed Avast because it was increasing it's repeated nagging about something or other, and then offering a solution that involved paying them for a subscription.
I believe Avast are simply doing their best to persuade you to spend some money with them. As you have written, Avast have suggested the idea that you sign up to Avast VPN, not just "any" VPN.
I replaced it with Microsoft Security Essentials, I have always preferred something other than Windows/Microsoft but it seems to have good reviews, but please have a look on a few computer based forums to get a wider view.

Agree with that about AVAST. I have read about VPN and have decided to use one on my phone primary because of the use of wifi.
There are plenty of providors out there both paid and free.
Most companies who supply their staff with mobile phones use a VPN due to the added security of encryption.
