How to stop internet procrastination?
Hi All,
My girlfriend is trying to write a 20,000 disseration but is getting distracted by the internet. We can't just remove the router because she needs to use the internet for a lot of the research and checking spellings (English isn't her first language). Any ideas on how to stop procrastination? Is there any useful software?
Thanks!
MrS

If there are particular websites that are the problem block them in the router. If things like e-mail or FarceBook are a distraction delete the accounts from her laptop.
Download as much of the reference material as possible so it can be accessed locally then disable wireless. The word processor spellchecker should be able to help with the spelling, buy a decent physical dictionary & I expect she can spell specialist words specific to the subject matter.
Here's a novel idea - hand write the draft.

'Freedom', perhaps. But really, I don't understand the problem.
What is she writing in? One would assume a word processor. How would that be affected by the net? (thinks. Have I got that joy to come)
The browser just 'smalerized' and popped up when needed is what I do, but what am I missing?
EDIT. Please don't tell me cloud-based software is susceptible to 'suggestions'.

Software wont stop procrastination, the only way to stop putting of a project is mental determination. The same thing will stop being distracted by going on to the web.
