Mailing problem

I thought that I'd ask here to see if there might be a simple solution.

A club that I go to has an e-mail list to announce news/upcoming events etc. Since about a year or so any emails from the club have been directed to my junk mail folder and despite me clicking 'not junk' each time, the next one goes to the junk folder. I thought that it was just me, but it would seem that quite a few others in the list have had the same problem and possibly many more who just didn't get the emails as they didn't check their junk folder.

I'm not too up on the technicalities of why this should be. Would it just be a case of re-entering the list of addresses onto a different head mailer account and problem solved ?

Junk email

It could be that your email provider uses a server that is "known" to send junk or spam, so the junk mail filters will send everything from this server to junk.

Is it the email server you use which is filtering these as being junk mail or your email program itself? If it is the latter (the email program installed on your computer), which program are you using?

Is the "from" address spoofed? That's a classic reason these days.

As in an individual sending it through their own ISP's mail server with the "from" address configured to show the club domain?

Thank you for all replies. The club/group uses a 'Gmail' address, as in [email protected]. From this address all messages are sent out apparently with varying degrees of success. My email is with 'hotmail' (for my sins!) and this mail always goes to my junk folder, with other members it gets through/doesn't get through depending.

My emails are filtered through the email server. As to spoofing, that is a question Id have to ask tomorrow at our weekly meeting.

Examining the e-mail headers will reveal the sending server.
