hotel hotel Wi-Fi will not run Whatsapp

Hotel Wi-Fi is asking for JavaScript before it will allow us to use WhatsApp my phone is ok wife's phone Rejects all use of the browser until JavaScript is enabled stop never before have I been asked for this stop any ideas?

JavaScript is necessary in order to run some applications. On an iPhone, go to settings, Safari, scroll down to the bottom of the list to Advanced settings, click on that and set the JavaScript setting to on.

JavaScript may expose your phone to certain security vulnerabilities if using the dark web, but for normal email checking and catching up on the news, no problems are likely.

You can always turn it off again! :-)

Thanks for the reply.

Sorry, stuck in hotel room and dictating my post into Samsung Android phone via "OK Google" thing, so text not very concise.

Mine was okay-ish, but my wife's phone kept insisting upon Java to use WhatsApp.

I'm home now, but did finally communicate with my son's American phone - he was in UK - and worked quite well on mine.

See my comment about LHR hotels on JB.
