forcing Android devices to use desktop sites???

is there any way to stop my Android devices (Samsung S3 and Samsung Tab S) defaulting to the "mobile" websites that keep getting in the way when I gurgle for anything these days? I hate it. I want any website I visit to have the look and feel of the same website when I visit from any of my desktop machines on either Linux or Windies.

It does seem a bit silly having all of these "mobile friendly" websites now that most Android devices can easily manage the same screen resolution as most portable PCs.

At least Ppprune lets you select the full site after it has gone to the wrong place, many do not.

The Android browser on my phone has a 'request desktop site' option in the menu. Not sure which one that is.

However, you do need to do it for each site, I don't think it can be set globally.
