That gmail hesitation thing. A clue?
recently, the problem I've written about four times, the hesitation when writing in gmail seemed okay-ish. Today, it was madness. A couple of letters on the screen and then wait five or more seconds for the next input to appear. A lightbulb moment: I disconnected from the net.
All the problems disappeared. Now, it has to be said that this recent tediousness might not be the same issue, but now, on W10, gmail was useless. However, I don't think the problem quite coincided with 10. Maybe it just took time to flex its muscles.
Off to turn off Kaspersky and run a couple of other Nasty-zappers.
BTW, a pal, lifetime with Big Blue's software side had not got a good thing to say about Kasper. Avast seems to be in favour at the moment, AVG having become bloated. Me? I know nothing.

Well that's running as well. In fact, when I turned it off for Malwarebytes to run, it says it will turn itself on again after a while.
Again, I've tested writing in a new Compose box, and it's okay. When I'm in reply mode, that's when it's impossible to use.
So, here I am with it not having been too bad for a while and now quite useless.\ - sometimes the delay is 7 seconds for two letters typed!!
I'll have a bash with Geeks, but some seriously clued up pals have no idea what's happening. It's so consistent, and on all computers.
I'm not enough of a geek to have messed with the settings. They're more or less 'out of the box' for OS and program.
I've got some heavy issues to cope with at the moment, and all I need is to type slower than writing with a crayon.
I'll lug my laptop around to a pal's house and try there.

Not to worry LR, it's just the Echelon operatives holding up transmission while they examine what you've written, and to who you wrote it to.
You'd have to admit, Rob, you write some highly suspicious stuff involving some far-out plots - it's enough to make any security agency take a closer look.

Odd to think the NSA's kit may well be taking a closer look now the Rivetess is back in Town (over there, that is) Shame, we try so hard not to used violent language at each other. Nothing worse than grandparents rolling about on the floor scrapping while at school family meetings.
Oh, NO! I said NSA. I'm doooooooomed. DOOOOOOOOOOOMED I tell you.
