User account control one program bypass?

At first, this answer seems to say you can't. (I want to allow my Samsung backup to start without a prompt. ) But then I seems to be saying do it this way. But is it cutting one program or all of that type?

I want to stay safe but not be prompted every boot since this drive is always there and it hangs the boot sequence.

Interesting thought, but if the screen is greyed out I don't think anything will run, will it?

In other words, I haven't a clue how to make it work in this case.

It seems odd that once a device has been installed, it has to go through this check each time.

Description of UAC, older article that says it can't be excepted for individual programs but has description of UAC architecture.

Bush - it's the software that came with the Samsung M3 USB backup drive.

(after a lot of angst, I finally, I got it under some control, but still don't know quite what it's doing. My HDDLed program shows the C and G drives being written to and read from. G is the auto partition on the Samsung.)

IIRC It's the only program I've ever known that needs repeated permission.

Jim, I'll have a bash at that tonight, thanks. Odd how some things are written. So much time lost trying to figure out what the manual is saying.
