Can I Use Chrome Cast From A Desktop PC.

Hi all just wondering if Googles Chrome cast will stream from a desktop to my TV.

Not sure if it will only work from a phone or laptop.

Its just that the stuff I read about it says download the app to your mobile device to use it.

Obviously I cant do that on a PC...so I take it I will need to use Google Chrome as a browser...I use Firefox at the moment.
