Registered Users.
I've noticed over the years on pprune that certain members have 'Registered User *' under their names, many of which weren't registered when paid/given titles were available back in the day. I just clicked on one of these out of idle curiosity just now and shock! horror! I don't have the privileges…..What's the story ?

Curiously, I just noticed this 'registered user' tag under the user name of Natos; an obvious Kremlin troll as is made clear in his 8 postings since he joined PPRuNe last year (about the time Moscow started trolling Western websites).
Like you SHJ, I seem not to have the user rights to see his profile.
I'd be keen to know what it means also....

Maybe its to identify the newbies ? Or perhaps even the banned newbies ?
Dunno. PPRuNe is a bit weird, it runs on vBulletin software but they've hacked together all sorts of custom tweaks over the years. This might be one of them.

I was beginning to wonder if it was like being in the Freemasons within pprune
It might be a quirk of vBulletin, but I've noticed this over the years on pprune with various posters with different names, join dates etc, though I never tried to click on the username to see the profile. I'm more intrigued by what 'registered user' actually signifies, as I thought anyone with a username was registered

Usually 'registers users' are people who earn 100k per annum. Unfortunately I do. This was confirmed (as with me years ago) via a questioner e-mail when joining the site.
Mixture....."Dunno. PPRuNe is a bit weird, it runs on vBulletin software but they've hacked together all sorts of custom tweaks over the years. This might be one of them"
I fear a good spanking may be needed.

This is a test of being registered. New post needed.
How come my Skype name is there? Mind you, these days I'd forget if I joined Mensa.
