Can anybody tell me how to stop the annoying habit windows has of 'hiding' little used options in the drop down menus?? It's really started to bug me recently...
I've tried un-checking the 'use personalised menus' option, but that doesn't seem to make the slightest difference, it still hides most of the options on the drop downs -
Surely they're hidden enough in a drop down without being hidden again?? Can anybody out there suggest a solution or am I missing something really obvious?
This happens on both windows 2000 and XP. Help!

Lets not confuse the OS and Applications.
To turn off the 'smart-menu' in Office applications:
Double-click the Tools menu so you can see all of its options, and then click Customize.
Click the Options tab and turn off the following two options:
Standard and Formatting Toolbars Share One Row
Menus Show Recently Used Commands First.
