Question Blank forum pages

I've had a report from one PPRuNer that whenever he looks at forum pages he can't see the list of topics. He's using Win98 with IE5, same as I am.

Has anyone else had this problem? If so, what was your solution?

Mik

I had exactly the same problem on my home machine when Pprune changed over it's OS a few weeks back. Even upgrading to IE6 didn't solve it.

I eventually downloaded Netscape and installed it alongside IE. It works fine. Still don't know what the problem is. (And I'm not running Adsubtract).

I had the same problem on one PC, could not fix it, no matter what. IE or Netscape or aol. Was not running any program that would affect it either. On any other PC it works as advertised.

When folks were complaining about pop-up windows someone recommended an excellent anti-pop-up window program. I downloaded it and then found that IE would not load a topic once selected from a forum menu!! So..for PPRuNe at least I have to disable the oh-so-excellent program to avoid having IE tell me that a page is not available!

Elsewhere the program is, of course, a blessing!

Talking

I was the one Dispatcher was referring to in his post.
Managed to get a look at this page tonight and decided to remove my Adsubtract as it was the easiest fix to attempt.

And guess what - immediate success!! Thanks Southwest.
(And thanks again to BOAC for the background help as well).
