Pipex - Free ADSL Modem

Seem to recall an earlier thread with a number of positive comments about pipex broadband. If you are still deciding, pipex are doing a limited offer to exchange your existing dial-up modem for a new ADSL modem, foc.

Bloody typical isn't it.!! I pay through the nose to get my broadband up and running then 5 mins later, someone comes and gives the poxy stuff away... Grrrrrrrrrrrrr..Don't you just hate it when that happens.

Yes, I'm sorry if this upsets those that have recently paid for new kit. Equally frustrating for me, and no doubt many others, is that BT can give no indication of when our local exchange will be ADSL enabled !

Luckily I read the small print before whipping out my internal modem and bunging it in the post because it seems that Pipex are taking only working external modems.

Here is the wording of the advert

"Any customer placing an order for the Xtreme Solo service between 14th May 2002 and 13th June 2002 is invited to send their old (working) external dial-up modem, plus power supply and cables, to PIPEX and exchange it for a brand new Fujitsu FDX310 ADSL modem (excluding micro filters) worth £94"

Well you could pick up an external for about £20 second hand it's still a bargain. Just a pain that I don't have a BT line and cannot guarantee I will have an ntl line long enough to be worth getting their broadband
