Hotmail problem

When I opened up about an hour ago, normally to the inbox, the screen was in a strange format with no emails available....any suggestions much appreciated

Try going in via outlook dot com using your hotmail name and password.

Probably unrelated but of five hotmail users with whom I regularly communicate, three have had their accounts hacked and I get faked messages from them. Hotmail does seem susceptable to hacking.
