Possible hack attempt. Advice please.

I have this windows-like box (grey with blue bar at the top) that appears now and again. It says in it "Device Connected on Channel 1" then underneath that is a box with ok in it. I am running the Tiny software firewall which i have tested and my pc is solid as far as getting access to it goes, but now and again this box appears..!! Is this some kind of hack attempt that has been successful. Any ideas anyone as to what it could be?.

Do you have a digital camera per chance? I get this from my SanDisk CF reader - sometimes it loses and re-establishes connection.....

It certainly doesn't sound like a security breach. Software firewalls have two fundamental flaws that make them vulnerable to the expert hacker, but if you were facing one of these people, they certainly wouldn't announce their presence. It sounds like the webcam issue mentioned above, or something similar.

Don't worry.
