iPlayer download problem
I've installed the latest iPlayer desktop and downloaded a programme but it won't run.
The file downloaded as mp4 and also brought an xml file with it (?!). When I double click on the file, VLC player starts and shows the file as running, but no picture, no sound, and the progress bar doesn't move.
Any ideas?

don't you have to view it in iplayer?

sorry just re-read that you already downloaded the latest iplayer!
Could be corrupt delete it and try again.
Are downloads playable on Portable Devices, Windows Media Player and other Media Players?
No. You can only play back a downloaded programme within the BBC iPlayer Downloads application on a compatible PC and Mac computer.
