Inappropriate ads on PPRuNe

Over recent days I've noticed Spanish-language ads appearing on PPRuNe (I am in the UK) and today it's ads for Australian websites. Have someone's cookies crumbled?

Mea culpa! I live in Spain and have noticed the same but assumed that it was because my IP address shows me as living in Spain. Can I have my adverts back please?!

If you use IE or Chrome you can download and use Adblock Plus, or if you use Firefox the better option is Adblock Edge which you can get from Add-ons under the Tools section.

It's worth adding one or other because you get zero adverts.

Happy New Year all!

dancingdog777,

Thanks for pointing out that Adblock Plus is now available for IE.

When I looked for an ad blocker early last year for IE10 (to replace IE7Pro) it hadn't been released.

As a long-term user of Adblock Plus on FF, I'm curious as to where Adblock Edge scores - care to elaborate?

Likewise using Adblock Plus, and happy. I'd not heard of "Edge". Off to take a look...

Found it! Adblock Edge is the replacement for Adblock Lite.
