A320 CBT and Windows 8

I have a couple of questions for all you computer gurus out there. My computer is running windows 8.0 (8.1 on my tablet) and I'm working my way through the Airbus CBT version 1.7.

My first question is, every time I click on the module that I want to run from the menu, it comes up with a message saying "Internet explorer restricted this webpage from running scripts or ActiveX controls" and I then have to click a tab to "allow blocked content". Is there a setting somewhere in IE that will allow it to run automatically, and is it safe to allow this to happen?

The second issue is mostly a problem on my tablet. When I get to the end of a module, the last page is the menu page that has 3 buttons down the bottom. They are "return" "exit" and "glossary". If I click on the return button, it takes me back to the last page of the module. But if I click on the exit or glossary buttons, nothing happens, so I'm stuck on that last page and can't get back to the main menu.

So I've figured out when using my desktop if I hit CTRL-W it will take me back to the main menu, I can live with that, but when using my tablet I don't have a keyboard so I can't do the CTRL-W thing and I'm stuck on the last page with no way of bringing up the on-screen keyboard and no way of exiting back to the main menu.

I'd be grateful for any suggestions or solutions that anyone may have, especially for the second issue.

Thanks for the tip Biggles but I checked my settings and they are already the same as what this article suggests.
