Hopefully an easy question

Just not for me as I'm a computer novice. That I can check porn on my PC is a small miracle.

Have a combo fax/scanner/copier, need to scan a copy of a resume for an internal position available within my company and then attach a copy and paste version of it within a dialogue box on the company web site.

I've long lost the pamphlet that came with the scanner. The online version is less than helpful. Any help is appreciated. On the dialogue box there's a button called a parser (I think) to help organize the material transferred to it into the proper format. Not sure how that works either.

All help is appreciated.

Without a make/model, we are all just as in the dark as you are.

Unfortunately true: most scanners seem to come with their own custom scanning software that's incompatible with everyone else's.

since you describe it as a PC we can assume it isnt an apple.

in microsoft there should be a tool something like the "scanner and camera wizard" in the windows XP system.
that tool allows you to drive the scanner and save the file of the scanned image to disk.

do keep up :-)

Assuming? that you have previously installed the software which came with the scanner (as per MG23's comment) - check your "All Programs" list. If the scanner is connected and recognised, there would most likely be an "Aquire" tab or similar from the "Tools" menu. This should fire up the scanner, and usually starts with a "Preview" box (to show you what is going to be scanned). Then hit the "Scan" button to do the actual scan. You might have the option to save each image as you do them (Epson allows this), or you may have to close the Scan utility when done, then save each image. This will normally be a standard Windows command where you browse to the location you want. If that's successful try copy/pasting your image(s) into the web page. Depending on the size of the scan it may or may not work. You might have to make them smaller, either by selecting a different scan resolution or re-sizing them - possibly within the supplied programme.

Thanks all. Dash, sorry, when I get back from this trip I will see the brand and post it.
