iPad without iTunes?
Is this possible?
I had an iPod and didn't like having to wrestle with iTunes every time I wanted to add a few tunes, I think Id like an iPad but not if it means having to do battle with iTunes again, are there any other more user friendly programs out there I could use?
Or should I be looking at something other than an iPad?

For syncing music to the music App, for running software updates, for doing backups ..... its all done via iTunes.
I can't agree with that statement. Working with iTunes is not a battle.
Again, can't agree. I've no idea what you are on about ! iTunes is one of the most, if not the easiest phone management software to use.

Whilst I am not a big fan of Apple and its Financial arrangements, I have to agree that Itunes appears to me to be relatively painless.
Maybe you had a bad download or summat?
The only downside is that every now and then they change its look and feel, so you have to re-learn it.
If you want a bad/poor way of managing stuff, try Samsung Kies.

Switched to an Android tablet last year and have never looked back. Simple drag-and-drop with Android File Transfer app, and that's from my iMac.
The wife still uses an iPad and every time I have to deal with iTunes to update it for her makes me feel like throwing the whole thing out the window! (iTunes that is, not the wife).
