British telephone numbers

Is there a free system for (very limited) requirements for UK numbers? I used to use 118.com, but that seems to have disappeared.

As in format and ranges ?

Yes. Go poke around the OFCOM website, its all there, readily available for public consumption. I believe it goes by the fancy name of the National Numbering Plan, or something of the sort.

BT - Broadband, TV, phone, home & business, but it won't always give non BT (i.e. Virgin cable) subscribers.
