Garmin 430 simulator /windows 8
Can't get the Garmin 400/430 simulator to work under Windows 8. Anybody found any workarounds?
Don't fancy carrying two laptops and the YouTube guides, whilst good, don't have quite the flexibility of the simulator.

There may be simpler solutions, since I don't know the product. I see some people have got it working on Vista and Windows 7 (but not 64-bit versions). Depending on the specs of your notebook, you might try running it in a virtual XP machine. There are free and non-free VM's available, and for your purposes one of the free ones would probably be fine.
