Strange issue

I'm having a strange issue:
If I hit the "reply" button, type my reply and then hit "submit post", the connection will hang and then I'll get disconnected.
I've noticed that if I highlight & copy my post before I submit it, re-load the page and then paste & post, it works every time.
Any clues?
(I've just had to employ this method to make this post....)

I believe the standard advice for anything odd is to clear coolies and the cache then try again, if you don't use it already CCcleaner will do the job for you.

Firefox 3.0.4 on Linux. Works fine.

Is everyone doing a Preview first?

I'm using IE 64 bit that was only installed with a new PC a few months ago.
What's a "preview"?

Don't use IE64
Its only included to allow developers to plan and program for the future. Essentially its a technology preview, in which many plugins don't work properly
Adobe Flash and Shockware for instance are not properly compatible
Some other audio and video codecs won't work properly

Try the "normal" IE ans see what happens
If you still have problems, reset the browser

Start > Control Panel > Internet Options >Advanced > Reset

sitigeltfel's problem with Firefix will be completely unrelated

Click on the icon which simply says "Internet Explorer", not the one that says "Internet Explorer 64-bit"

Check again

It should be listed under start > all programs
Unless someone has been deleting icons...

I found the IE32 and switched to it but it didn't solve the problem.
Any other ideas?
I see there's another thread running where GCPTN is having the same issue.

Sorry for the delayed response stickandrudderman. I got sidetracked.

'Preview' is the 'Preview Post' button next to 'Submit Reply'. I always use it (it saves occasional embarrassment) and it might affect the hanging behavior some are experiencing if they submit from the preview window. I'm just throwing this out as a guess, since I didn't see any complaints about hanging when clicking preview.
