Microsoft would like you to make a gesture

Windows gestures;
I once had an old XT that would crash happily without me gesturing at it.
Windows ME certainly had me gesturing furiously; as did Vista -lot of gestures at that one.
OK I'm not being very Christmas like, but the whole gesture thing smacks of creating a problem, where no one had previously existed.
Great for playing tennis with a games console or the like, but imagine a malign companion performing a "high five" and giving your pride and joy's system, the modern equivalent of an unconditional low level format of the primary boot drive.
Bah ! Humbug to the whole gesture thing.

PS: Happy Christmas and a Happy new year everyone.
