Bloody advert
I have an Acer desk top. If the computer is left idle for 5 minutes or so, Acer promo rubbish comes up and is is slow to clear! I guess this is for shop displays but I don't need it! Any advice on how to remove would be greatly appreciated

It may be your screen saver. Something like start>control panel>appearance and personalization>>Personalization - change screen saver will get you there. Another route is right click on the desktop, personalize, screen saver (big icon, bottom right).
