Hard Drive Problem
I have just fitted a Western Digital 500Gb SATA hard drive to my computer.
Windows reported 'new hardware found', 'driver installed' & 'device working'.
When I looked in 'my computer' it showed my partitioned HDD, drives C & D but not my new one.
Device manager shows the drive and in the volumes tab says 'not initialized'.
I can't seem to get access to it to do anything - anybody any ideas?
System:
Windows 7 home premium, 32 bit
Gigabyte G41MT-D3 m'board
Intel E3400 2.6 GHZ processor
2 Gb RAM

You will need to create a partition and activate the drive.
Go to Control panel/system &security/admin tools/ create and format hardrives (Disk Management)
You will see a disk (Disc 2 or 3 or something like that ) that is not mounted/recognised.. You will need to mark the partition as active and format it, give it a drive letter and away you go.
